Planning Ahead

Set Realistic Goals: Define what you want to achieve during the summer, whether it’s maintaining your current fitness level, improving flexibility, or trying new Pilates exercises.

Create a Schedule: Plan your exercise sessions ahead of time, including days and times when you’ll be doing Pilates or other workouts.

Pack Appropriately: Bring lightweight exercise clothing, a yoga mat (if needed for Pilates), and any resistance bands or props you typically use.

Pilates Ideas for Holiday

Mat Pilates

Pilates exercises can be done anywhere with just a mat. Focus on exercises that engage your core, like leg circles, rolling like a ball, and the hundred. I know you all love this one in class!! aim to do this 3 times a week as a minimum. Also think that once you spend the time on YOU actually you will feel more engaged and motivated to do other activities on holiday.....(now now...keep it clean!)

Outdoor Pilates

Take advantage of your holiday location by doing Pilates outdoors in a peaceful spot. Use the natural surroundings to enhance your practice. Do it in you cozzy! do it with the kids! you will be surprised - they might really enjoy it and want to do more. The focus required for Pilates exercises helps children develop better concentration, mental clarify as well as promoting relaxation and mindfulness. It can actually help reduce stress and anxiety in children (as well as for parents!!). This is something I am offering more and more now to parents as it makes an excellent addition to their physical and mental fitness routine.

Partner Workouts

This is probably my favourite thing to do! Mainly as I always like a bit of healthy competition! If you’re traveling with someone, practice partner Pilates exercises that involve coordination and balance. It's all about teamwork, coordination, and trying not to fall over – what could possibly go wrong, right?

Pilates Waves

Utilise the pool for water-based Pilates exercises, which can be gentle yet effective for muscle toning and flexibility. You ARE in your elegant mermaid ERA as you perform leg circles in the pool! It might get you noticed in the pool which is never a bad thing!

Staying Motivated!
